Hey there! I'm Alona Shimonov, the owner of Skin and Lashes by Alona. My business is located inside the spa of Moss & Black Salon. I'm a licensed esthetician, lash extension & microblading artist, and a skincare enthusiast with over 25 years of experience in the beauty industry.

 

My passion for beauty and skincare started when I was 18, and I've been lucky enough to turn that passion into a successful career in New York City. With extensive training at the prestigious Lia Schorr Institute and the International Dermal Institute, I've honed my skills in European techniques, skin analysis, and customized lash extensions.

 

I've had the pleasure of working with some of the best in the industry, including the legendary Marcia Kilgore at Bliss Spa and various high-end day spas in Manhattan and plastic surgeons' offices. I'm proud to have been named in NYC's Time Out magazine as an esthetician who gave the "Best Facial" in the city, but nothing makes me happier than helping my clients achieve their skincare goals.

 

When you step into my studio, you'll be greeted with a warm smile and a bubbly personality that makes you feel like an old friend. I'm passionate about creating a personalized experience for each and every one of my clients, and I take pride in guiding them towards the best professional treatments and at-home skincare regimen that's tailored to their needs.

 

When I'm not working, you can find me spending time with my 16-year-old daughter, working out at the Y, riding bikes, playing tennis, and walking trails in our neighborhood. I'm currently building my dream home in Waxhaw with my fiancé, and when we're not busy with that, I love going out for margaritas with my girlfriends in downtown Waxhaw. And let's not forget my love for cooking and my famous carrot cheesecake—trust me, it's a crowd-pleaser!
